{Data Viz} 5 of the Most Influential Data Visualizations of All Time

Tableau – the software company specialised in Data Visualiation – published this interesting short presentation: “The 5 Most Influential Data Visualizations of All Time”. There are obviously many other ‘Influential Data Visualizations’ but this paper has the merit of listing 5 of the historically most important ones:
5. London Cholera Map – John Snow
4. Gapminder – Hans Rosling
3. March on Moscow – Charles Minard
2. War Mortality – Florence Nightingale
1. Chart of Biography – Joseph Priestley

( Also bringing great memories of working in Kenny O’Donnell‘s team: he offered me a copy of Charles Minard’s March on Moscow for my farewell : )

Xavier – 23 March 2014 – Sydney
